ARTIST STATEMENT

Recently I’ve found that I have an interested in working with digital.

Programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are where my main curiosity lays. The possibilities are endless when using computer programs to create it is easy to undo mistakes, and I don’t feel constrained by the medium.

These are some examples of my most recent experiments using Photoshop. The pieces are Bloom and Blast, I have actually a whole series of photos but these happened to be my favourite. The pictures were taken at the St James Cemetery during the summer. I used different filters, played with the colours, contrast and softness.

The poster is another personal project which was made using Illustrator. I do have more poster designs that I’m working on when I can find the time.

Along with my cemetery series I have been working on a series I called Colour Me. I use pictures that I have taken and alter them a lot more then in the previous images. Domer is my favourite work in the group.
